A notification issued by the government made the Adamas University Act, 2014's provisions effective on April 11, 2014 on the same day of West Bengal.

• Master's degree or its equivalent, as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), in any field, including the arts, sciences, commerce, engineering, or technology.

Adamas University PhD Admission process

• Admission to the Ph.D Program of AU will happen in the period of June and December consistently.
• An interview and an entrance exam are used to select students for admission to each category. Doctoral candidates are expected to discuss their research interest or area during the interview. After paying the required fees, candidates whose selection is approved by the Vice Chancellor on the recommendation of RC will be admitted to the AU Ph.D Program.
