Bachelor of Arts in Bengali is a three-year undergraduate course and provides comprehensive knowledge about the Bengali language and its literature. In other words, B.A. (Bengali) The curriculum includes the study of Bengali literature, grammar and poetry. Students are generally selected on the basis of their marks in 10+2. Some universities also conducted entrance exams. The Bengali language is native to the eastern part of India, mainly West Bengal and neighboring states as well as Bangladesh. Native to West Bengal and people of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India apart from Bangladesh and some countries of Middle East Asia such as United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait also speak Bengali.
B.A. Bengali Eligibility
- Interested students can apply for HSC. Can opt for the examination (10+2) from a recognized education board with Science, Arts or Commerce stream with Bengali language.
- Generally 50% marks are required but the percentage may vary from state to state and institute to institute.
