Bankura University PhD Admission, Eligibility, Fees and Guidelines

It's a dream come true. By establishing Bankura University, the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Smt. Mamata Bandyopadhyay, and the Hon'ble Education Minister gave Bankura University a new intellectual impetus, realizing the long-cherished dream of the people of Bankura.

The assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, on January 6, 2014, and Bankura University was established by the West Bengal Act XIX of 2013.

Bankura University is dedicated to spreading higher education in this area and promises a bright future by encouraging the study of indigenous folk and cultural tradition and sustainable rural and tribal development.

Bankura, which used to be called Mallabhum, has a long and distinguished history of traditional cultural excellence. It is evident in its traditional Dokra art, the mathematical and artistic achievements of Subhankar (the well-known Subhankari Arya) in the 18th century, the temple town of Bishnupur, and the artistic contributions of Jamini Roy and Ramkinkar Bej.

Bankura University Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Highlights

A Ph.D is offered by Bankura University, which consists of nine specializations. The university administers the entrance exam as part of the admissions process. The exam will not have any negative marking. The university publishes the criteria list.

Bankura University PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

• Master's degree or professional degree with at least 55% of the grade or a grade that is comparable.
• According to the regulations, candidates from the following groups—SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Differently Abled, and others—may be granted a grade or mark reduction equal to or greater than this.

Bankura University PhD Admission process

• The University will administer the Research Eligibility Test (RET) for Ph.D. program admission. The RET's date and method will be announced later.
• Candidates who have passed the UGC-NET (including the JRF), the UGC-CSIR NET (including the JRF), the SET, the GATE, or the JEST examinations, or who hold a teacher fellowship or an M.Phil. The Research Eligibility Test (RET) is not required of international students who hold a degree or have completed Ph.D. coursework previously.

Bankura University PhD Admission Entrance exams

• The entrance test will have fifty percent questions on the subject at hand and fifty percent on research methodology.
• The concerned PG Department is responsible for organizing the meeting of the Board of Research Studies for presentation and viva voce for the final selection of a Ph.D. candidate once the Ph.D. Entrance Test results are announced (qualifying marks of 50%). assuming that candidates from the SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layers)/Differently-abled category will be granted a relaxation of 5% of their marks—from 50% to 45%—in the universities' entrance examinations.

• Now sign up with all the information and a valid mobile number.
• Complete the application form by providing all requested personal information.
• Now, follow the on-screen instructions to upload all of the required documents. Scanning documents is required.
• Utilize net banking to pay the required application fee. Send the form in.
