Kurukshetra University Chaudhary Devi Lal Post Graduate Regional Centre Sirsa was set up during the year 2000. Later on, in April 2003 it was declared as a full-fledged University named Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa. The University had been recognized by the University Grants Commission and declared eligible for Central Assistance under Section 12 (B) of UGC Act vide UGC letter No. F.9-17/2003 (CPP-1) dated 17.02.2009.
