During 2007 Aakarshan College of Education was established at Old Taragarh. Initially, a unit of 100 B.Ed students affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University and Recognised by NCTE Jaimpur under the chairmanship of Shri. Krishan Kumar Padha. During 2013 it was shifted to National Highway, Narot Jaimal Singh, Tehsil & District – Pathankot (Punjab) -145026 in a decent well all weather furnished building located in a very good place. Degree College for Women keeping in view the requirement of the people of the area was also opened in July 2014. Apart from the above a unit a 50 D.El.Ed (E.T.T) students recognized by SCERT Mohali (Punjab) was also added to Aakarshan College of Education which is functioning satisfactorily till date and is producing teacher educators to the region by taking concerted progressive steps in this regard. The college is producing the both courses teachers i.e. B.Ed and E.T.T in first division as well as in distinctions. The college has been accredited as Grade “B” institution by the NAAC.
