The Common University Entrance Test (CUET). It is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate for the interested candidates and  programs in various central, state, deemed, and private universities across India.

Eligibility Criteria for CUET

Undergraduate Programs

Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD): A minimum of 45% in Class 12.

Postgraduate Programs

General Category: A bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks.

Reserved Categories: A minimum of 50% in the qualifying degree.

Age Limit

There is no age limit.

Nationality:

Candidates must be Indian citizens.

CUET 2025 Syllabus

Language Proficiency

Section IA: This section evaluates proficiency in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Section IB: Offers an additional 20 languages such as Arabic, French, German, Japanese, and others.

Key Areas Assessed

Reading Comprehension: Passages from factual, literary, and narrative texts.

Verbal Ability: Synonyms, antonyms, and vocabulary usage.

Grammar: Sentence correction, rearrangement, and fill-in-the-blanks.

Domain-Specific Subjects

This section encompasses 27 subjects, allowing candidates to select up to six based on their desired university programs. The subjects range across various streams, including:

Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Environmental Studies.

Commerce: Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics.

Humanities: History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology.

Others: Computer Science, Physical Education, Fine Arts.
