In 1998, the Unison consortium founded the Dehradun Institute of Technology. In 2013, the university was granted the designation of "Private University." DIT University collaborates with FICCI, CII, and ASSOCHAM India. The university is regarded as one of India's best engineering schools.

DIT University Eligibility:

UG Course-

Applicants must have passed a 10+2 passed or equivalent with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved categories) for all type of UG courses, but for B.Sc. in Ag, a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved items) is required in grade 12.

PG Course-

Applicants who already hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or suitable combination with a minimum score of 45% (40% for reserved categories) are eligible for this.

Doctorate Course-

An applicant holding a Master's degree (PG) in a relevant/relevant subject with at least 55% of marks is eligible to apply for both a Master of Philosophy and a Ph.D.

PG Diploma-

Students must graduate with a 50% of mark or any other related course from an accredited board or university. Admission to PG diploma courses is also based on an entrance test, which is also part of the admission requirements at some universities.

Diploma Course-

10th from an accredited board with a minimum of 45% of marks (40% for reserved categories) is required for eligibility for Polytechnic and D.Pharma degrees.

Certificate Course-

For Certificate courses students must have a graduate degree from an accredited university in any stream. Students for UG certificate programs must have completed their 12th grade with at least a 55% of average marks from a respected board.

University specifically administers the university-level Uttarakhand State Entrance Exam (UKSEE). All UG courses provide admission via this entrance exam. University accepts a variety of tests depending on the program type.

PG Course-

An entrance exam is being administered offline at Dehradun Institute of Technology, the exam is given at a number of locations, including Almora, Nanital, Kashipur, Dehradun, Srinagar, and New Tehri.  Student who clear this exam, are eligible to sit at Dehradun Institute of Technology.

Certificate Course-

Female Hostel

More than a thousand girls are comfortably housed in the girls' houses. Every house has a dining room and kitchen that are up to date and fully furnished, providing a clean and hygienic environment for preparing and serving food. At any given time, more than 400 girls can be served in our dining halls.

Infrastructure for IT

Over 1400 of the newest computers, including 30 Apple MAC desktops, 30 All-in-ones, and 50 luxurious HP workstations, together with 80 Mbps Internet access and cutting-edge hardware and software, are used by DIT University for research and teaching.
