For Ph.D. Students

A teaching Assistant ship of  Rs. 25,000/- per month will be given to selected full time research scholars in all streams.

For General & OBC candidates (Economically weak)

Those students whose parents annual income is less then Rs. 2 lakh are eligible to avail scholarship through social welfare department (Samaj Kalyan Vibhag) of UP Govt.

GLA University in Campus Placement

Except in unusual circumstances, GLA University follows a one student one job policy. If a student is placed in more than one company (unless placed in the main branch of any one) without prior permission, all offers made will be canceled and he/she will be debarred from any further campus recruitment by GLA will be strictly debarred from the campaign.

It is mandatory to maintain 75% attendance in the concurrent semester (during placement drive) to appear in any campus placement.

It is mandatory for the students to be in proper uniform during the placement process. And the use of mobile phones is prohibited throughout the process. If a student is found absent in the Final Technical/HR Interview round after passing the written test, he/she will not be allowed to appear in the next companies and strict disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.

GLA University Library

The Central Library is the center of information services in the University. It serves as a creative and innovative partner in supporting teaching, learning and research activities. With a rapidly growing collection in both digital and print formats using state-of-the-art facilities, the Central Library currently houses over 169899 books on 4,500 CD-ROMs and subscribes to over 95 national and international journals/journals in print. In addition to a large number of e-journals through the INDEST-AICTE Consortium for Subscription to International Journals of IEEE/IEE (IEL Online ASPP), ASME is available to the academic community across campus.

Central Library is a member of DELNET which connects more than 5000 libraries across the country and is also a member of National Digital Library. The operations and services of the Central Library are fully computerized. For this, we have special user-friendly open source software called KOHA. GLA University Hostel

Thousands of students from all over the country live in the hostels of GLA University, which is the closest we can get to being a 'home away from home'. GLA University provides well-furnished hostel facilities to its outstation candidates. The hostels of the campus are surrounded by lush green Educationns and playgrounds. Separate facilities for boys and girls, caring wardens and tight security ensure a pleasant stay allowing you to focus on your education. The hostel has full power backup. Facilities for indoor games like TT, Carrom, Chess, Television etc. are also available.

A warden/hostel in-charge looks after the administration of the hostel. The students enjoy a homely and comfortable stay with a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood. Hygienic, quality food prepared by professionally qualified chefs is provided to the students in the Hostel Canteen. The food served in the hostel mess is wholesome and nutritious. The mess caters to the tastes of students from different regions with varied culinary preferences. The planning and management of the mess menu is done by the students in consultation with the caterer and the management.

Students also have access to highly professional laundry service on campus. While internet access and STD facilities ensure close contact with family and friends outside, the fully furnished common rooms allow for that comfortable time with friends on campus.

The campus has tight security through smart cards, biometric readers, latest IP cameras, fire alarm system, 24 hour guards. For complete care in case of any emergency, we have our own dispensaries with best doctors and nurses.

We have 15 boys hostels with a seating capacity of 4300 boys and 4 girls hostels with a seating capacity of 1400 girls.

The newly constructed 800-room hostel at GLA has been awarded 'Best 11 Architecture Designs' by the globally recognized architecture consortium - World Architecture Community, UK. This hostel consists of five, 4-level blocks. Its structure reflects the streets of a historical place. The hostel building is oriented towards the north to give the residents a view of the beautiful garden.

Each room has a wedge-shaped bay window that provides protection from the sun as well as natural light. Ventilation openings in the interior corridors facilitate cross-ventilation which removes the need for climate control systems in an area where the average temperature for 8 months of the year exceeds 30 °C.

GLA University Cafeteria

Physical development is essential for the mental development of the students. They require proper nutrition which is possible only through a balanced diet. Keeping this in mind the menu in all the cafeterias is planned by a group of expert dieticians who provide healthy and nutritious food to them. We understand that students have the urge to have snacks from time to time, but we ensure that they do not indulge in junk food. The food provided in the cafeteria is hygienic and vegetarian. We have 4 cafeterias in our campus which help the students to get what they want whenever they want. The Cafeteria offers a wholesome menu of multi-cuisine dishes, amidst a lively, cheerful atmosphere.

Just as a good teacher plays the role of a sports coach to stimulate the mind of a student or a sports coach for physical fitness, similarly a doctor has an important role to play in keeping the body healthy and disease free.

The basic objective of Aarogyam is to maintain a holistic approach towards the physical well-being of our students, faculty and support staff. We aim to provide 24x7 prompt and effective medical, surgical and psychosocial support to all workers and residents of the GLA complex.

The health care facility is registered with the Chief Medical Officer, Mathura. Routine complaints like cough, cold, seasonal fever, rashes, cuts, bruises, sprains, asthma attacks and fainting attacks are dealt with within the confines of our existing facilities. Anything of a more serious nature is sent to the higher center at Mathura, Agra or even Delhi if the case warrants. Serious patients are always accompanied by a nurse (in case of women), nursing assistant or doctor. A fully equipped ambulance is always on stand-by to take students for referrals or even to pick them up or drop them off to dispensaries within the wider university campus. In case of persistent fever or suspected fracture, students are also sent to Mathura for regular check-up.

Medical records of all students are online. This enables the management to understand the demographic patterns of disease and drug consumption. The software has been developed in-house and has been extended to meet the needs of the faculty and other staff members.

Creating awareness about health related issues is also part of the Health Care Team’s responsibility; these would include:
