In a written reply, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has informed that out of the total sanctioned posts in Public Sector Banks (PSBs), 41,177 posts are vacant. There are more than 8,05,986 sanctioned posts in Public Sector Banks. According to official data, State Bank of India (SBI) has the maximum number of 8,544 vacancies among banks.
Citing inputs received from PSBs, the Finance Minister said that as on December 01 this year, 95 per cent of the posts are filled against the sanctioned strength. Having said that a small proportion of vacancies are largely attributed to vacancies due to retirement and other reasons. The vacancies are for the posts of Officer, Clerk and Sub-Staff. Indian Overseas Bank – 5,112 posts

There are 3,423 vacancies for officers in SBI and 5,121 at the clerk level. Let us inform you that no information has been released regarding the recruitment of these vacancies yet. It is believed that the number of vacancies in the ongoing IBPS Clerk, PO Recruitment may be increased. The number of vacancies can also increase in State Bank.
