Kazi Nazrul University PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates can apply for a master's degree in their field of study, an allied field, or an inter-disciplinary field with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) or an equivalent grade.
• Admission to the Ph.D Program is open to applicants who hold an M.Phil degree or higher.

Kazi Nazrul University PhD Admission process

• The Ph.D. written research entrance test will not be required to be taken by students who have passed the M.Phil or equivalent program or who have passed the UGC-NET (including JRF) or UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF).
• For admission to the Integrated M.Phil.-Ph.D program, international students will need to present proof of clearance from the Indian government.

Kazi Nazrul University PhD Admission Entrance exams

• For the purpose of selecting candidates who meet the requirements for admission to PhD programs, a written entrance exam or research eligibility test and an interview will be conducted.
• There will be a 100-mark KNU-RET. The test will last three hours all together.
• There will be two 50-point parts to the KNU-RET.
•  Part I will cover basic computer knowledge and research aptitude, with 25 MCQs worth two points each. The Common Research Aptitude Test will be the name given to this section.
• Part II will be topic-specific.
