The Master of Arts in Chinese is a postgraduate Chinese language course. A Chinese language is a language or language family associated exclusively with China or Chinese ethnicity, and which may be part of the hypothetical Sino-Tibetan family of languages. The MA curriculum in Chinese, in addition to providing advanced training in language and literature, focuses on the following three areas of specialization: Chinese Literature, Chinese Classical Studies and Modern Chinese Studies. Students can opt for any one specialization by taking up to four elective courses in their respective fields. The duration of MA (Chinese) is two years and the course is divided into four semesters.
M.A. Chinese Eligibility
Interested candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 45% marks with adequate proficiency in the respective language.
