The Master of Arts in Museology is a postgraduate archeology course. As far as museum science is concerned, it is the historical study of museums and how they have been established and developed in their role as an educational system under social and political pressures. The duration of the course on regular basis is two years and may vary from one institute to another. The course is divided into four semesters of six months each. Some institutions may also offer Master of Arts courses in Museology on a correspondence basis. It is a job oriented course and provides a lot of career opportunities to the students.

Interested students should have Bachelor's degree (with Honours, wherever applicable) or Master in History / Ancient Indian History and Culture / Islamic History and Culture / Anthropology / Anthropology / Sociology / Archaeology / Pali / Sanskrit / Persian / Modern Indian Languages Must have degree. , (such as Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, English and others listed in the 8th Schedule to the Constitution of India) / Folklore / Fine Arts / Visual Arts / Applied Arts / Art History / Education and Tourism.
