The Master of Arts at Post Afzal-ul-Ulama is a postgraduate Arabic language course. The course follows the choice and credit semester system. Each academic year usually consists of four semesters consisting of two semesters. As per the curriculum of the University of Calicut, each semester consists of ninety instructional days, with five hours of instruction each day under the five-day week system, i.e. 450 hours of instruction per semester. Semester: The final examination is held outside the ninety regular instructional days. MA (After Afzal-ul-Ulama) courses may also be offered by some institutions on correspondence basis.
