Master of Education, or MEd, is a master’s degree programme that focuses on innovative teaching methods and educational research. The programme covers themes such as instruction, curriculum, counselling, leadership, and teaching materials. The MEd programme is governed by the National Council of Higher Education, which is also in charge of the MEd programme (NCHE). The MEd programme is organised into four semesters and lasts two years.   • To pursue a master’s degree in education, one must complete the following requirements:
  • A minimum of 50 percent to 60 percent in graduating courses from a recognised university is required for general applicants.
  • SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled applicants get a 5% reduction in the graduation qualifying percentage.
  • Candidates must have completed a B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree from a UGC-approved university during their undergraduate studies.
