Master of Education, or MEd, is a master’s degree programme that focuses on innovative teaching methods and educational research. The programme covers themes such as instruction, curriculum, counselling, leadership, and teaching materials. The MEd programme is governed by the National Council of Higher Education, which is also in charge of the MEd programme (NCHE). The MEd programme is organised into four semesters and lasts two years. On the other side, several universities/colleges offer a one-year MEd programme. The curriculum is offered in a number of different subjects and specialisations. Master of Education Eligibility:

  • To pursue a master’s degree in education, one must complete the following requirements:
  • A minimum of 50 percent to 60 percent in graduating courses from a recognised university is required for general applicants.
  • SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled applicants get a 5% reduction in the graduation qualifying percentage.
  • Candidates must have completed a B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree from a UGC-approved university during their undergraduate studies.
  • Candidates who have earned a B.El.Ed degree from a government university with a grade point average of 55 percent or above are eligible to apply for the M.Ed programme.
  • Applicants who are pursuing a B.A.Ed (Bachelor of Arts in Education), B.ScEd (Bachelor of Science in Education), or M.Sc.Ed (Master of Science in Education) degree can also apply for M.Ed, depending on the institute rules.

Master of Education Admission Process:

Most colleges hold their own entrance examinations, so M.Ed admission can be obtained through both merit and entrance. M.Ed Entrance Exam Module:
