OPJS University PhD Admission Process
OPJS University is affiliated to the University Grants Commission. It offers various programs to the students under various specializations which include undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses and PhD courses.
OPJS University Eligibility criteria for PhD admission
- 1 year / 2-semester Master's degree program (after 4 years bachelor's degree) grading system followed with at least 55% marks in aggregate in the UGC 10-point scale (or an equivalent grade wherever in point scale) goes) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its own country or any other statutory assessing authority in that country To ensure the quality and standards of accreditation or educational institutions.
- A candidate seeking admission after 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree with research must have a minimum CGPA of 7.5/10.
- Candidates who have completed M.Phil. Course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate in the UGC 10-point scale or its equivalent grade of 'B' (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign institution . Assessment and Accreditation Agency that has been approved, Recognized or authorized by any authority, established or incorporated under a law in its own country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, Recognition or assurance of quality and standards of educational institutions, will be eligible for admission to Ph.D. Program.
- A person whose M.Phil. The dissertation has been evaluated and recommended for award of the degree, Ph.D. may be granted admission. program on a provisional basis in any institution by viva-voice or even before the final defence.
- Relaxation of 5% marks, 55% to 50%, or equivalent grade relaxation for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) may be allowed. ) and other categories of candidates as decided by the Commission from time to time, or for those who obtained their Master's degree before 19 September 1991.
- SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ Differently abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and people belonging to other categories are allowed a relaxation of 0.5 marks, i.e. CGPA of 7/10 or its equivalent grade can be given. of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
OPJS University Duration of PhD Programme
- The PHD. program will be for a minimum duration of two years and a maximum of six years, excluding course work.
- Extension beyond the above limits shall be governed by the relevant sections prescribed in the statute/Ordinance of the individual entity concerned, but not exceeding two years
- Women candidates and persons with disabilities (more than 40% disability) may be given a relaxation of two years for Ph.D. in the maximum period. In addition, female candidates may be granted maternity leave/child care leave up to 240 days once in the entire duration of PhD.
OPJS University PhD Procedure admission
All Universities Ph.D. scholars through the National Eligibility Test (NET) or the National Entrance Test or an entrance test conducted at the level of individual universities. Provided that, any circular/notification/communication by the UGC/Ministry of Education, Govt. The conduct of a common entrance examination for this purpose shall be applicable and binding on the universities concerned in India.

OPJS University Admission Process
Admission will be based on an entrance test and qualifying examination with 50% marks as qualifying marks. The syllabus of the entrance test will comprise 50% of research methodology and 50% will be subject specific. The entrance test will be conducted in the already notified center(s) An interview/oral-is to be conducted by the University as the candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Department Research Committee.
