The full form of P.HD means Doctor of Philosophy. It is the highest degree for research in particular subject. It has duration of 3 years but it can vary from college to college. The candidate who want to pursue P.HD he should possess master’s degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. To get admission in P.HD the candidate has to go through entrance exams such as CSIR UGC NET, UGC NET, IIM JAM, NPAT, are the common entrance exams. CSIR UGC NET conducted twice a year. Government agencies like CSIR and UGC offers scholarship for science and other disciplines. The candidate can pursue P.HD by three modes such as Regular, Distance, and online mode.
