It is a doctoral degree program in which we study lands, features, inhabitant, phenomena of earth and planets. The minimum time required for PhD Geography is 3 years. Merit Based: The admission of the students in PhD is take place on the basis of grades obtained in the degree and master’s degree. In this students skill and abilities are checked. The student should fill prescribed form. Admission to PhD course is take place in once a year.
Entrance Based: Admission to this programme is done by
entrance exam as well. The students will have to pass the examination to get
admission to the course. The Concerned Department Committee can give relief
from entrance test to deserving candidate. If any student have PhD Degree in
relevant subject from a recognized university can be given relief from entrance
test and coursework to deserving candidate. Shortlisted candidate appear before
the concerned department for interview. The final stage is interview if you
clear the interview you can study PhD Geography.

Paper 1 would be General Aptitude test of 100 marks and
Paper 2 would be subject wise of 100 marks. General Aptitude test have 50
multiple choice questions covering Research & Teaching Aptitude, Logical
Thinking, General Comprehension.
Paper 2 will subject to Concerned Department of 100 marks.
30 marks for Objective type exam and 70 marks for Descriptive type exam.
The student must have idea about what to study and the type
of questions to be asked in examination.
The questions asked in entrance exam are of both types
subjective and objective. The exams have duration of 2-3 hours mostly.
The candidate must practice sample papers and try to
complete the exam in time.
