Admission to the PhD(Doctor of Philosophy) program shall be based on the candidate marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department of school of the particular or each university or college. Those students who have completed their GATE or NET or SET/ M.Phil Examination in the pertinent subjects of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR will be exempt from the Entrance Test. If a candidate already holds the Doctor of Philosophy degree in the relevant subject from the UGC Approved Universities or Colleges, he or she may be exempted from the entrance exam and pre PhD(Doctor of Philosophy) coursework. After clearing both steps the candidate will be eligible to pay the course fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of candidates may be admitted to PhD(Doctor of Philosophy) program of Psychiatric Social Work.
