PHD. The program in Khasi will be for a minimum duration of three years, consisting of course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limit will be governed by the relevant clause as prescribed in the statute/Ordinance of the individual institution concerned and submitted by Bir Tikendrajit University, Imphal.

Candidates who want to take admission in Ph.D. Must possess a Post Graduate Degree in Khasi from a recognized University with at least 55% marks and must have passed the National Level Entrance Examination or University Level Entrance Examination. National level entrance exam like UGC NET / UGC CSIR NET / GATE / SLET or university entrance exam consists of written test and personal interview.

Bir Tikendrajit University Ph.D. in Khasi Entrance Exam and Interview

• One hour online written test. The questions will be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on the fundamentals of the respective subjects. The results of the online written test will be announced through email.
• The link of Question Paper (MCQ) will be given in Google Classroom two (2) minutes before the scheduled time of written test.
• The video and audio of all the candidates must be on during the interview process; otherwise their candidature is liable to be cancelled.
