In 2012, an Act of the Punjab State Legislature founded Chandigarh University, a private research university in Gharuan, Mohali, & Punjab. University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) recognized CU, while it has been accredited with an 'A+' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council .CU is a shining example of academic excellence in India.
