CMJ University campus is situated in Jorabat, Meghalaya. It was established in 2009. Because a lot of students who wanted to pursue education were helped by the University, despite its rural  location. The main purpose of this university's establishment is to give students more technical and skill-based training, which is important for exposure to the outside world. University makes sure great students who are unable to continue their education. Additionally, they provide them with the education that pupils need.  CMJ University, Act, 2009 (Act 4 of 2009) was passed by the Meghalaya State Legislature and became effective on July 20, 2009, as stated in Notification No. LL (B) 42/09/80.The UGC (Ministry of HRD, Government of India) has informed students about the CMJ University. New Delhi has the authority to grant diplomas, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees under Section 2(f) of the Constitution.

The degrees given by CMJ University, a reputable institution established in accordance with the State Act, are accepted throughout India for positions in the government.

CMJ University Eligibility:

UG Course-

Applicants must have passed a 10+2 passed or equivalent with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved categories) for all type of UG courses, but for B.Sc. in Ag, a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved items) is required in grade 12.

PG Course-

Applicants who already hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or suitable combination with a minimum score of 45% (40% for reserved categories) are eligible for this.

Doctorate Course-

An applicant holding a Master's degree (PG) in a relevant/relevant subject with at least 55% of marks is eligible to apply for both a Master of Philosophy and a Ph.D.

PG Diploma-

Students must graduate with a 50% of mark or any other related course from an accredited board or university. Admission to PG diploma courses is also based on an entrance test, which is also part of the admission requirements at some universities.

Diploma Course-

10th from an accredited board with a minimum of 45% of marks (40% for reserved categories) is required for eligibility for Polytechnic and D.Pharma degrees.

Certificate Course-

For Certificate courses students must have a graduate degree from an accredited university in any stream. Students for UG certificate programs must have completed their 12th grade with at least a 55% of average marks from a respected board.

CMJ University Admission Process:

UG Course-

Admission into the undergraduate programs under the General and Professional Programs, students who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) exams are eligible to apply for admission to the programs. The qualifying examination scores will be used to determine the selection.

PG Course-

Students who have earned their graduation degree in a relevant field are eligible for postgraduate programs including MSc, MA, MBA, MCA, and more. For the purpose of granting admission to the PG course, the University recognizes the CUET PG scores.

Doctorate Course-

PhD entrance tests are used to determine admission. The leading PhD entrance exams include NPAT, CSIR UGC NET, UGC NET, and IIT JAM. A applicant must have a valid GATE score if they want to pursue a PhD in engineering or technology.

PG Diploma-

Admission to PG diploma courses is also based on an entrance test, which is also part of the admission requirements at some universities.

Answered Scholarship:

University honors deserving students and helps them receive scholarships from the North East States Government. Additionally, the University assists students in obtaining a bank loan from PSU Banks.

Hostel: University offers male and female students nice living quarters in airy, equipped hostels. A total of about 500 students can stay in the hostels.

Cafeteria and common area: There is a properly equipped cafeteria with enough seating and sanitary, wholesome cuisine available.

Medical Facility: There is a first aid station, and there is a 24-hour agreement with the local hospitals.

Library: University's shelves and racks are filled to the brim with books, reports, magazines, and reference materials. There is a separate research center with the most prestigious technical publications. Students have access to photocopy, spiral binding, and lamination facilities.

Ninety percent of graduates are placed. Leading corporations like Infosys and TCS visit for placement. Eighty LPA is the highest package. Nearly 90% of students receive internships through CMJ at Infosys, TCS, and other significant businesses.
