The Assam government's Act No. XLVII of 2022 established Girijananda Chowdhury University as a State Private University operating under the auspices of the Shrimanta Shankar Academy Society, which was formed under the Societies Registration Act 1860. The Girijananda Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) and the Girijananda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (GIPS) took the initiative to establish Girijananda Chowdhury University with the goal of providing professional higher education with a socially conscious and philanthropic mindset. Girijananda Chowdhury University Eligibility:

UG Course-

Applicants must have passed a 10+2 passed or equivalent with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved categories) for all type of UG courses, but for B.Sc. in Ag, a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved items) is required in grade 12.

PG Course-

Applicants who already hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or suitable combination with a minimum score of 45% (40% for reserved categories) are eligible for this.

Doctorate Course-

An applicant holding a Master's degree (PG) in a relevant/relevant subject with at least 55% of marks is eligible to apply for both a Master of Philosophy and a Ph.D.

PG Diploma-

Students must graduate with a 50% of mark or any other related course from an accredited board or university. Admission to PG diploma courses is also based on an entrance test, which is also part of the admission requirements at some universities.

Diploma Course-

10th from an accredited board with a minimum of 45% of marks (40% for reserved categories) is required for eligibility for Polytechnic and D.Pharma degrees.

Certificate Course-

For Certificate courses students must have a graduate degree from an accredited university in any stream. Students for UG certificate programs must have completed their 12th grade with at least a 55% of average marks from a respected board.

UG Course-

Applicant must successfully complete the 10+2 exam in the required field at an accredited university. Admission is based on the results of the CUET (UG) exams for undergraduate programs, respectively.

PG Course-

Depending on their entrance exam and merit score, students can choose from a variety of courses at this university. Students can enroll in programs including the MSW, MVA, MBA, MSc, MCom, and MA, among others. Applicants for these courses must pass the CUET 2023 entrance exam.

Doctorate Course-

According to their performance on the written test (KUEST-2023) and personal interview, candidates will be admitted to the Ph. D. program. For admission into the diploma programs offered by the State Council for Technical Education, Assam for the relevant academic session, as announced by the DTE, Assam, candidates must take and pass the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT). 2. The candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. in order to be admitted to a diploma program.

Certificate Course-

For Certificate courses students must have a graduate degree from an accredited university in any stream with at least 55% of marks, admission to certificate programmes based on entrance test or merit list which is prepared by university at its own.
