LLM Eligibility in India
If you want to pursue a Master of Laws (LLM) in India, it’s important to know the eligibility criteria before applying. LLM is a postgraduate program, so only candidates with a law background can apply.
Educational Qualification
A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
The LLB can be a 3-year course (after graduation) or a 5-year integrated course (after Class 12).
The university must be approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Students awaiting final LLB results may apply but must submit proof of passing before enrollment.
Minimum Marks Required
General category candidates: Minimum 50% marks in LLB.
