National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a national level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS in medical colleges across India.

Physics: It contains topics such as mechanics, thermodynamics, optics, modern physics, etc.

Chemistry: Organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry.

Last Date for NEET Registration

The registration process starts in January and ends in March. The last date is usually provided on the official NEET website for each year. It is important to check the official notification for special dates.

Educational Qualification Required

The candidates who wants to appear in this exam should have class 12 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

Minimum Marks:

General category: At least 50% marks in the PCB group.

OBC/SC/ST category: At least 40% marks in the PCB group.

PwD candidates: At least 45% marks.

NEET Exam Admission Process

In first step the candidates need to fill out the NEET application form online.

In second step the candidate appear for the NEET exam and conducted once a year in offline mode.

In third step the national testing agency release the NEET results with scores and ranks.

In fourth step the candidate will participate in the counselling process for admission into medical colleges. It have three rounds of counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee and respective state bodies.

In fifth step the candidates report to the allocated college for document verification and admission.
