North East Christian University (NECU) and Kohima Education Society (KES) organized an interaction on the topic of "Policy Making in North East India" between GGPNL judges and Naga scholars.Prof. Abu NS Ahmed, Director of Research at the Centre for Development and Peace Studies in Guwahati, Dr. Easterine Kire, a well-known poet, and Dr. Vikas Kumar, Associate Professor of Economics at Azim Premji University in Bengaluru, were among the speakers at the session.

An invocation prayer by Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary, Bible Society of India, Dimapur, and a welcome address by Honorable Vice-Chancellor (NECU) Prof. Darlando Khathing marked the beginning of the program.Prof. Abu NS Abmed, who spoke on "Look/Act East Policy with special emphasis on Surface Connectivity" as the first speaker, emphasized connectivity as a major factor in accelerating India's Act East Policy.The speaker emphasized the significance of the shared goal of preserving surface connectivity between India and countries in Southeast and East Asia.The session discussed the significance of North-Eastern States as the focus of India's Act East Policy.

North East Christian University PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

• A Master's degree in the relevant field from a recognized Indian university or any other degree that meets the requirements of the university's academic bodies, with at least 55% of the total marks or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is used.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks for the categories of SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled and such other categories.

North East Christian University PhD Admission process

Candidates must have a Master of Philosophy degree or have passed the NET, SLET, or SET exams.Graduates with a degree in the relevant field from a UGC-recognized university are exempt from the entrance test (TREAT) and are required to participate directly in the interview.

North East Christian University PhD Admission Entrance exams

• The applicant's score on The Research Entrance Aptitude Test (TREAT) will determine whether or not they will be invited for an interview.The candidates' performance in the interview, subject to achieving a minimum score, will serve as the basis for the final selection for Ph.D. admission.
• The minimum entrance exam score for the SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and Differently Abled categories is 45 percent.
