PhD in Biophysics Admission, Eligibility, Duration, Fee and Top University

PHD. Biophysics or Doctor of Philosophy in Biophysics is a doctoral physics course which is subjective in nature and carries out research work in depth. Upon completion of the doctoral degree scholars must submit their "thesis" and will then be eligible for the respective degree. With respect to biophysics, it is an interdisciplinary science that uses the methods of the physical sciences to study biological systems. The studies included within the branches of biophysics span all levels of biological organization, from the molecular scale to entire organisms and ecosystems. Biophysics research shares significant overlap with biochemistry, nanotechnology, bioengineering, agro-physics and systems biology. The duration of the program is a minimum of two years (3 years for external candidates) and a maximum of 5-6 years from the date of registration. The minimum qualification and other eligibility criteria for admission are same as for regular full time students. PHD. is a broad-based curriculum that includes a minimum course credit requirement and a research thesis. This doctoral course is of two semesters.
