PhD Science is a three- to five-year doctoral programme open to individuals with an MSc or MTech degree. It entails investigating any of the science specialisations, such as physics, chemistry, biology, and so on. To receive the PhD Science degree, the student must present a research thesis at the end of the course.
A minimum of 55 percent grades at the postgraduate level is necessary for admission to the PhD Science programme. Students may be enrolled immediately after graduation, but they must have a strong academic and research background.

Eligibility Criteria:
- After graduation, students must achieve a minimum aggregate score of 55 percent to qualify. However, some prestigious universities want 60 percent aggregate scores.
- In no topic should there be a backlog.
- Candidates must pass an admission exam, which is followed by an interview with colleges or universities.
- PhD Science courses are open to students with an MSc, MTech, or other comparable degree.
Admission Process:
- For admission to PhD Science programmes, colleges and institutions use entrance tests like as UGC-NET, CSIR-UGC-NET, GATE, and others.
- Students must register on the institutes’ and exam-conducting body’s online websites.
- The dates of the test will be announced on the website and by email. To be eligible for admission, students must pass the test with the needed minimum score.
- Following the examination, the college will publish a cutoff list on its website.
- Following that, pupils will be assigned to colleges.
- Selected applicants would be required to attend a personal interview round at their colleges.
- Admission to the course shall be granted to the student who is judged to be eligible.
