Ph.D. Journalism and Mass Communication has duration of three to five years. It is doctorate level programme. In this course we study Freedom of Expression Theory, Theory of Culture and Media, Law and Ethics of Telecommunication, etc.   It is the highest level of educational degree that one can achieve in Journalism and Mass Communication.  The student who wants to pursue this course should have Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with minimum 55% marks from recognized university. The candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR (JRF)/NET/SLET/NET JRF get relaxation from entrance exam.

Ph.D. Journalism and Mass Communication Full Time Course Duration

It is mode of course in which students attend class’s regularly in campus and attend all necessary activities of course. It is compulsory for all students to attend classes regularly in this mode. It has duration of 3 to 6 years.

Ph.D. Journalism and Mass Communication Part Time Course Duration

In this mode of course the student does not need to attend classes regularly they can work with this course. It has duration of 3.5 to 7 years.

The students who want to pursue this course in part time mode should have No Objection Certificate (NOC). In No Objection Certificate (NOC) should have mentioned that he/she permitted to pursue studies on a part time basis.

Step 4 Preparation of list of allocated supervisors and submission of consent form

A list of all research scholars and their allocated supervisor is prepared on the basis of eligibility criteria and availability of seats. A hard copy of the consent form is submitted by research scholar. When the research scholar get consent form from doctorate faculty. The final list of research scholar and their allocated supervisor is forwarded to Head of Faculty for recommendations.

Step 5 Allotments of Supervisors

After getting approval from authorities the list of allocated supervisor is provided to research scholars before the end of coursework.
