Private university Shiv Nadar University, also known as SNU Noida, was established by the Shiv Nadar Foundation. Post graduation degree in the related field from a recognized Indian university or institution with at least 55% overall marks or an equivalent grade. This eligibility criterion is relaxed by 5% for candidates in the SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled categories.

• Doctoral candidates will be selected by the university through an entrance exam and/or interview.
• It will be expected of doctoral candidates who have been shortlisted to be contacted for an interview to discuss their research interests and areas with the Interview Committee.
