National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is an entrance exam for admission in undergraduate programme of medical and dental in both private and government institutions.  

Understanding the NEET Exam

Eligibility: The candidate who wants to pursue this programme should have 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as core subjects.  The minimum age of candidate for appearing in exam is 17 years.

Exam Pattern:

• It has offline mode with pen and paper.
• It has duration of 3hour 20 minutes.
• It has total 200 questions.
• It has subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, etc.
• It has 4 marks for correct answers and -1 for wrong answers.

Syllabus: It contains NCERT syllabus of class 11 and 12.

Physics: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, Electricity,

Chemistry: Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry,

Biology: Diversity of Living Organisms, Human Physiology, Genetics and Ecology,

Understand the Syllabus

• You can download syllabus from official website.
• You should compare it to class 11 and 12 NCERT syllabus.

Create a Study Time Table

• Allocate time to subjects according to your strength and weaknesses.
• Allocate time for revision and mock tests.

NCERT syllabus is the base of NEET preparation.

Practice and Revision

• You should solve previous year question papers.
• You should practice mock tests to improve accuracy and time management.
• You should revise regularly.

• Identify weak areas and improve them.
• Spend extra time on weak areas take help from teachers.

Time Management

• Complete your mock test in actual time of exam.
• Focus on Biology because it has 50% weightage.

Health and Discipline

• You should maintain healthy diet and take proper sleep.
• Take regular break during study.

You must read and follow instructions carefully.

Biology: 1 hour
