United university Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Highlights

A doctoral degree with an academic focus is called a Ph.D Candidates must complete a Ph.D program that typically lasts three years and takes no more than five to six years to complete. However, the length of the course may vary from institute to institute. To be eligible for a Ph.D program, candidates must hold a master's degree.

United university PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

• A master's degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with a CGPA of at least 55% from a university in India that is accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Candidates from SC and ST are eligible for a 5% mark or CGPA adjustment.
• After determining equivalence, the university will confirm PhD registration for candidates who hold a qualifying degree from a foreign institution.

United university PhD Admission process

Candidates with a Master's degree degree in the subject of choice, or have passed the UGC (JRF) Exams, NET, SET, SELT, etc., will be permitted to attend the interview without participating in the RET. Additional advantages include impressive academic records and previous research experience.

A total of 70 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be included in the RET syllabus or pattern, which includes subject-specific topics, research methodology, and aptitude (such as logical reasoning, numerical ability, analytical reasoning, statistics, etc.).
