The application process has been started for foreign students in Delhi University for admission to UG-PG, MPhil, PhD, Diploma and Certificate courses in the academic session 2025-26. Online registration for these courses for foreign students can be done through the admission portal. Like last year, this year also no changes have been made in the application process. This time students from Afghanistan will not come for admission in Delhi University.

Applications for admission to various courses (UG-PG, Mphil-PhD) can be made through the admission portal. The last date to apply is different for all the programmes. The application schedule has been made available on the DU Foreign Student Registry.
DU Foreign Student (Deputy Dean) Prof. Amarjeev Lochan said that the last date for application in undergraduate courses (UG) is 31 May. Whereas, except MBA, all other postgraduate courses (PG) can be applied till June 29. At the same time, the last date to apply for PhD in Master of Business Administration and Management Studies is April 11.
DU PhD Admission Last Date
Applications for general PhD can be made till July 20. MPhil has been abolished from this time so applications are not being accepted in MPhil. The last date of application for one year certificate, diploma and advanced diploma has been fixed as August 15. Such students who want to take admission in UG and PG courses of School of Open Learning can apply till August 15. Dr. Lochan said that this process is completely online. There is no change in the process this time. Further details regarding admission can be obtained from the website of Foreign Student Registry of DU.
It is noteworthy that there is a five percent quota for foreign students in DU. Every year applicants from other countries including Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Iraq, Ethiopia, Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan, UK, Spain, Germany, Canada, UK, Bangladesh apply here.

Large numbers from Afghanistan apply in DU seeking admission. But this time students from Afghanistan will not be able to come here. Dr. Lochan told that the reason for this is that there is no flight available to come here. The Taliban took control of Afghanistan last year.
