In 2013,
Himalayan University Itanagar was founded. It is a hub for creative and varied

According to Section 2(f) of the UGC Act,
1956, Himalayan University is approved by the University Grants Commission
(UGC) to provide higher education at all Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate
levels.
On May 8, 2015, Himalayan University,
located in Chimpu, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, was granted grand membership in
the glorious Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Himalayan University is
also authorized by the Bar Council of India to grant legal degrees. The
Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has recognized the Himalayan University
Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the All India Council for Technical
Education (AICTE) has legally validated the university's engineering and
technical programs.

UG Course-
Applicants must have passed a 10+2 passed
or equivalent with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved categories) for all type
of UG courses, but for B.Sc. in Ag, a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved items)
is required in grade 12.
PG Course-
Applicants who already hold a Bachelor's
degree in a relevant discipline or suitable combination with a minimum score of
45% (40% for reserved categories) are eligible for this.
Doctorate Course-
An applicant holding a Master's degree (PG)
in a relevant/relevant subject with at least 55% of marks is eligible to apply
for both a Master of Philosophy and a Ph.D.
PG Diploma-
Students must graduate with a 50% of mark
or any other related course from an accredited board or university. Admission
to PG diploma courses is also based on an entrance test, which is also part of
the admission requirements at some universities.
Diploma Course-
10th from an accredited board with a
minimum of 45% of marks (40% for reserved categories) is required for
eligibility for Polytechnic and D.Pharma degrees.
Certificate Course-
For Certificate courses students must have a graduate degree from an accredited university in any stream. Students for UG certificate programs must have completed their 12th grade with at least a 55% of average marks from a respected board.

UG Course-
A list of candidates chosen by the
all-India JEE (Main) is used by the university administration to allocate seats
for the first semester of all undergraduate programmes.
PG Course-
To get accepted, applicants must perform
well on the university's entrance exam. Postgraduate courses normally run two
years in length.
Doctorate Course-
UGC-NET and JRF qualified candidates will
not be required to take the entrance test but must still show up for the
personal interview. The syllabus for the entrance test includes both subject
knowledge and research methodology in equal measure.
PG Diploma-
Admission to PG diploma courses is also
based on an entrance test, which is also part of the admission requirements at
some universities.
Diploma Course-
Arunachal Pradesh government has decided
not to hold the APJEE Arunachal Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination- Diploma
(APJEE-Diploma) in 2021–2022; instead, candidates will be chosen based on their
performance in the qualifying exam.
Certificate Course-
For Certificate courses students must have
a graduate degree from an accredited university in any stream.
There are no scholarships offered by Himalayan
University. For those students who want scholarships from Himalayan University
Itanagar, the central government, the UGC, and the state government of
Arunachal Pradesh all grant funding. In order to be eligible for the Himalayan
University Itanagar scholarships, students must fulfill certain requirements.

Himalayan University is well-equipped with
a library, sports facilities, computer labs, and much more. Both faculty
members and students can use the university library facilities. Newspapers,
periodicals, thousands of books, textbooks, reference books, and other
materials are available at the library. There are departmental laboratories at
the university. The laboratories, which are furnished with state-of-the-art
tools and equipment, facilitate a practical comprehension of the disciplines.
With the assistance of the sports facility at Himalayan University Itanagar,
students can participate in both indoor and outdoor games. There are games
including volleyball, football, cricket, chess, and carrom at the sports
center. The infrastructure of the IT is kept up nicely. The campus has full
