needs are different.
·
We have successfully helped
thousands of dreams come true through our relentless efforts of connecting the

·
Placements Cell is well

as young and thriving start-ups and is best equipped with state of the art
infrastructure to deploy well-trained students.
What is the process of placements at GCU?
‘Placements’ is one of the most important aspects for the
students, parents as well as for the Institution. We at GCU consider placements
as one of the by-products of all the efforts put during the entire tenure of
any program that the students join.
Students in their
pre-final year of graduation/post-graduation need to fill up the career advisory
form. It is necessary for all students to fill up this form as it is used to
gauge their career interests. There are three broad aspects to the career
interests of students:
·
Immediate placements after
course completion
·
Higher studies (usually chosen
by Under-graduate students)
·
Entrepreneurship
Students are given personalized attention based on their
inputs while filling this career advisory form. Those who opt for immediate
placement after completion of the course undergo rigorous training and assessment
from the pre-final year of the programme.
The campus placement window for companies opens twice a
year. The first window is 40 days from the first Monday of September. The
second window is 40 days from the second Monday of January. These two windows ensure
100% placement for all the students who have registered for placements.
Students join
respective companies as interns for 3 months in their last semester wherever
they get placed. The benefits of this system are:
·
Students need not search
companies separately to complete their internship which is compulsory in the
last 3 months of their respective programs.
·
Students get trained for the
job during internship and they become 100% performance ready for the job before
they complete their course.
·
Mostly the companies believe in
providing a stipend during this internship that acts as a motivation to perform
better and learn more during the internship.
In the last semester generally all programs cover 1 or 2
subjects. Hence the syllabus completion, preparation as well as examinations
are very quick. This ensures a faster turnaround for the students to join
companies as full-time employees after the completion of the course.
Placement cell releases timely notification for students to
register their interest in various companies providing internship and placement
assistance
