PhD Course

The full form of P.HD means Doctor of Philosophy. It is the highest degree for research in particular subject. It has duration of 3 years but it can vary from college to college. The candidate who want to pursue P.HD he should possess master’s degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. To get admission in P.HD the candidate has to go through entrance exams such as CSIR UGC NET, UGC NET, IIM JAM, NPAT, are the common entrance exams. CSIR UGC NET conducted twice a year.  Government agencies like CSIR and UGC offers scholarship for science and other disciplines. The candidate can pursue P.HD by three modes such as Regular, Distance, and online mode. Each state or college have different eligibility requirements. Each state has reservation benefits for deserving candidates. The best colleges for P.HD programmes are such as Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Jamia Milia Islamia etc. There are various scholarships available for students who want to pursue their career as P.HD Professionals.  The P.HD Professionals have a lot of job opportunities after the completion of course. These Professionals can expect an average salary of 6-9 lakh per annum.

P.HD Admission Process

The admission takes place on the basis of merit or entrance exams. The admission takes place on the base of merit when there is no entrance exam. Every state conducts entrance exams for the admission in P.HD Course. The students who are qualified invited for counselling where they can select their colleges and availability of seats. The students have to submit their educational certificates, Identity proof, and passport sized photographs during the admission process. They have to fill admission form correctly. They should pay fee by available methods. The candidate should take payment receipt for future reference.
