Private university Shiv Nadar University, also known as SNU Noida, was established by the Shiv Nadar Foundation. SNU is ranked 61st among universities and 94th overall in India, according to NIRF 2025-26. Post graduation degree in the related field from a recognized Indian university or institution with at least 55% overall marks or an equivalent grade. This eligibility criterion is relaxed by 5% for candidates in the SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled categories.

• Doctoral candidates will be selected by the university through an entrance exam and/or interview.
• It will be expected of doctoral candidates who have been shortlisted to be contacted for an interview to discuss their research interests and areas with the Interview Committee.
• Candidates with valid scores from any of the following National Examinations may be exempt from the written test: CSIR-UGC NET-JRF, DBT-JRF, GATE, JRF, Quip, ICMR-JRF, NBHM, CAT, GRE, GMAT and so on.

• To submit the application online, sign in (or register if you're a first-time user). Fill out the required information and upload the necessary documents, including a photo and signature.
• Utilize Net-Banking or a credit or debit card to pay the INR 1200 application fee.
• The application fee can also be paid by sending a Demand Draft for INR 1200 payable in Noida to "Shiv Nadar University."
