A big information has come out regarding the proposed Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission in central universities. It is being claimed in media reports that this time admission will not be given through this in PG courses. Because the University Grants Commission has planned to give admission through this from next year.

According to the reports, the Education Ministry had a meeting with the Vice Chancellors of Central Universities on Thursday in this matter. It was informed that the admission for admission to PG courses will not be conducted this year but from next year. However, it has not been approved yet. It is believed that a notice will be issued in this regard soon.

Online exam for UG admission
In the National Education Policy-CURRENT_YEAR, there was talk of a common entrance examination to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Then in December CURRENT_YEAR, the Tiwari committee constituted by the UGC suggested that CU-CET be started from the academic session CURRENT_YEAR, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UGC could not do so. Now the plan to implement it from the CURRENT_YEAR session has come to the fore. This exam will be online.
Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University
Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University have said that admission in the upcoming academic session will be through CU-CET. Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia University have not yet spoken of including themselves in the proposed examination. It is believed that these universities can also announce about this soon.
