PhD is a doctorate level degree programme. It is highest
degree in any stream. PhD in Hindi is a 3 year programme in which we study
Hindi subject deeply. In this course students gathers knowledge about the
origin, philosophy, evolvement, literature and culture of Hindi language. After
completion of this programme one becomes professor or lecturer in any college
or university. This course is for those students who want to pursue their
career in the field of academics. This course teaches several skills such as
Time management, Problem solving, to arrive at a judgement. The average salary
after PhD Hindi is 5LPA.
Candidate who have completed their master’s
degree in any relevant discipline is eligible to get admission in PhD Hindi.
The candidate should have 55% marks in master’s degree.
Admission in PhD Hindi is entrance based or
merit based. Student should pass these exams to get admission in respective
colleges. Some of the common entrance exams are given below:
UGC NET: This exam is conducted by National testing agency.
This exam is compulsory for the hiring of assistant professor at Indian
universities. It is also conducted for those students who want to take
admission in research fellowships.
CSIR UGC NET: This exam is conducted by National testing
agency for The Council of Scientific Industrial Research (CSIR). This exam is
conducted to employ students for junior research fellowships and it tests the
eligibility for lectureship in colleges or universities.
JNU PhD Entrance: This exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University. It is conducted to select candidates for various PhD Programmes.

Each year consist of two semesters. It
includes various assignments and research works. A detailed syllabus is given

Semester 1: Communicative skills, Critical reasoning,
writing, and Presentation, Communication in other languages, Prose and one-act
plays, History of Hindi literature, Hindi literature.
Semester 2: Reading literature, Reading on Indian
constitution, Translation and communication in Hindi, Translation –theory and
practice, History of Hindi Literature.
Semester 3: Literature and contemporary issues, Literature
in other languages, General informatics and computer applications in Hindi,
Applied Grammar, History of Hindi Literature, Comparative literature.
Semester 4: History and philosophy of Hindi, Culture and
civilizations, Drama and theatre in Hindi, Perspective of Humanities and
Languages and Methodology, Correspondence and secretarial practice in Hindi,
Environmental studies.
Semester 5: Linguistics, Contemporary Hindi Literature,
Indian Literature Thoughts, Poetry, Open course spoke Hindi, Project- Literary
Technician.
Semester 6: Modern Poetry in Hindi, Novel and Short stories
in Hindi, History of Hindi Language, Western Literary Thoughts,
Project-Literary Technician.
Those students who cannot join regular
classes distance learning option is available to rescue them. Students can
pursue PhD Hindi as well by distance learning method. The validity of course
and colleges or universities must be checked by students.
The student who want to pursue this course should possess
master’s degree in relevant field with minimum 55% marks by recognized college
or university. The duration of this course completion is same as regular course
minimum 3 years and maximum 5 years. The admission is mainly based on marks
obtained by candidate in entrance exam. The course fee is ranges 5000 to 50000
yearly.
